There is also Chibi Maruko-chan Land, based on one of Japan’s most beloved manga and anime series, Chibi Maruko-chan, which is set in Shimizu.
The series humorously portrays the everyday life of the main character, Maruko, along with her family and friends, and has been enjoyed by a wide range of generations, from children to adults.
The creator, Momoko Sakura, was born in Shimizu, and many scenes in the series feature the old townscape and daily life of Shimizu.

S-Pulse Dream Plaza operates a bright red free shuttle bus between JR Shimizu Station Minato Exit (East Exit) and the plaza, with a stop near Shin-Shimizu Station (Shizutesu Train) along the way.
