    There are stores such as UNIQLO, GU(Fashion), an eyeglasses store, and a shoe store<\/span>, making it convenient to buy anything you may need during your trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There is also Chibi Maruko-chan Land<\/span>, based on one of Japan\u2019s most beloved manga and anime series, Chibi Maruko-chan, which is set in Shimizu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The series humorously portrays the everyday life of the main character, Maruko, along with her family and friends, and has been enjoyed by a wide range of generations, from children to adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The creator, Momoko Sakura, was born in Shimizu, and many scenes in the series feature the old townscape and daily life of Shimizu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
